Why Become A Member?

 

We welcome all new members from 4 Years of age, of all groups and gender. We teach traditional Wado-ryu Karate based on the modern style and instruction of Higashi. Within our Syllabus we teach, Self Defence, Hand to Hand Combat and Anti Bullying. We also offer a full competition syllabus and at present have over 10 Australian Athletes There is also a Full Syllabus of Traditional Okinawan weapons.

The mandatory waiting periods for grades of 3rd kyu and above are as follows:1st Class Pass 3rd Kyu– 2nd Kyu 3 Months 2nd Kyu – 1st Kyu 3 Months 1st Kyu – SHODAN 6 Months

2nd Class Pass 3rd Kyu– 2nd Kyu 3 Months 2nd Kyu – 1st Kyu 3 Months 1st Kyu – SHODAN 6 Months

3rd Class Pass 3rd Kyu– 2nd Kyu 4 Months 2nd Kyu – 1st Kyu 4 Months 1st Kyu – Shodan 6 Months.

Any request to have the waiting period reduced must be made in writing to the chief Instructor requesting such and the reason.

Details of all gradings passed for 3rd kyu and above must be sent to the Chief Instructor for verification.
